Coronavirus & You

6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.(Colossians 2:6-7)

As followers of Christ, ‘rooted in Him’, we have to consider how to best respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19). It’s a difficult thing for many of us. Whilst we’re all struggling to stay positive at times, it’s important to remember that this will hopefully be over soon. Governments are working hard to figure out the best ways to keep the public safe, whilst they provide government contracts to those experienced enough to find a vaccine for this virus.

Everyone is praying that this will soon be over, but it is important to note that coronavirus might affect you, your loved one or family in some way. For some people, it might leave them unable to work and although this is one of the more extreme outcomes it important that you know what your options are after this. Having something like this short term disability insurance individual cover can help you so that you don’t have to worry about a loss of income, particularly if COVID-19 affects you for a long time. But this is just an extreme case, and hopefully, you won’t have to worry about this.

Besides, governments have been assigning contracts to many companies who can hopefully help us to live normally again. These companies can normally bid for the contracts and, with the help of a government contracts law firm, they can begin conducting research to help them develop the best treatments for the public. So, whilst we all wait for a vaccine, there are things we can do to occupy ourselves.

Here, There and Everywhere!

“Here, There and Everywhere” is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1966 album Revolver. But we also use this phrase to describe a person’s frequent movement…a person who happens to be in most of the places for different occasions. However, a person may be very free with his movement and participation but he can only be at ONE LOCATION OR PLACE AT A TIME!

But this is not so with ‘OUR AWESOME GOD’. The Bible teaches us that GOD IS PRESENT EVERYWHERE AND HE IS NOT LIMITED BY SPACE AND TIME. The words that are used to describe this attribute of God is: God is Infinite and Omnipresent. We learnt last Sunday that God Is Spirit…Therefore, He is not constrained by time and place. What is God’s Name? Does God have a name?

Exo 3:1-5 – 1Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. 2There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. 3So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.” 4When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! A historic moment. India formally adopts the Constitution. India becomes an independent republic. Happy Republic Day to our India!
The Constitution of India is a unique constitution. It is the largest written  democratic constitution of the world. It was fully debated and duly enacted after 2 years, 11 months and 18 days. It consists of 395 Articles divided into 22 Parts with 12 Schedules and 94 constitutional amendments(For your information, US Constitution has only 7 Articles and the French Constitution has 89 Articles)
The Preamble of the Constitution is a well drafted document which states the philosophy of the constitution. It declares India to be a Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic and a welfare state committed to secure justice, liberty, and equality for the people and for promoting fraternity, the dignity of the individual, and unity and integrity of the nation.
